Darbuka Training
The Darbuka training will aim to cover the basic fundamentals of playing a Darbuka, focusing on stroke technique, basic rhythms and simple ornaments such as the "ka" technique. The fundamentals of these techniques will be established in the first half of the course, and the second half will aim to build on the fundamentals and focus on playing to accompaniment (with singing).

Inshad Training
The Inshad training will aim to cover some key foundational singing techniques through vocal strengthening exercises and an exploration of the Nahawand Maqam (Maqam can be loosely translated as "style"). The first half of the course will aim to build vocal strength using the Nahawandi rhythms from the Qasida Al Burdah, and a select few popular nasheeds, such as Talama Ashku Gharami. The second half of the course will focus on exploring the rest of the Maqam, as well as transitioning between nasheeds in the same Maqam, and transitioning into performing the adhan within the Maqam. It will also focus on singing to accompaniment (with Darbuka).
